Daylight Saving Time

Daylight Saving Time (DST) isn't very popular on blogs. Facebook updates show whining about sleep deprivation and winter doldrums, as if that particular one hour update was the root cause of all wicked in the world. Perhaps it is, and therefore there is less wickedness in Arizona and parts of Indiana - or so I'm told.

Apparently DST is unpopular in my barn. That's right, the goats have registered an inaudible, but very loud complaint. No, I'm not suddenly translating the Maa-Maa's of the goat's into English.

The goats have learned to turn on the barn light. I kid you not.

I blamed my husband. I fingerpointed toward the sleeping children in the upstairs bedrooms. But no, clearly, the goats have learned to turn on the barn light.

That's certainly one way to register a complaint.

You've got some smart goats! I still don't know how you do it, get up early almost every morning to milk the goats. I guess it's prepping you for early morning seminary for the kids?

I agree with the goats. DST--blah.

Mrs. Pickled- the nice thing about goats is that they're flexible. For example, they need to be milked either 12 hours apart, or you can adjust them to being milked once per day.

I opt to milk them 2x a day - 12 hrs. apart. But I'm not getting up at 5 a.m. to milk when 10a.m. and 10p.m. are also 12 hours apart. Hope that clarifies any nomination for sainthood. Sorry.

Stacy - I knew that. :>)

P.S. there is a pull string on the light in the barn.

I saw some goats listed in the paper for sale and thought of you! They were listed as Pentecostal goats though, never knew goats had a religious preference. When I mentioned the goats to Michael he told me I could have any livestock I wanted when we have room except goats. They had several goats while he was growing up and he just isn't a fan.
